Diogo Schelp is an Editor at the Brazilian news magazine VEJA. Based in São Paulo, Brazil, VEJA is one of the three largest weekly news magazines in the world, after Newsweek and Time magazine. As Editor for international news, Diogo Schelp helps shape the articles read by more than a million people. Over the course of his career, Diogo Schelp has also researched and written many of his own pieces. Some of his most memorable stories have concentrated on affairs in the Arctic, Colombia, Mexico, Germany, Venezuela, Chile, Sudan, and the West Bank. Although much of his writing is in his native language of Portuguese, Diogo Schelp has written pieces in English. In a 2005 article, Hugo Chavez: The Clone of Totalitarianism, Diogo Schelp discusses the presidency of Hugo Chavez (http://vcrisis.com/index.php?content=letters/200505070444).

Diogo Schelp also writes about cultural icons such as Brazilian scientist and samba musician Paulo Vanzolini (http://bravonline.abril.com.br/conteudo/musica/viagens-musicais-paulo-vanzolini-480900.shtml). Educated at the Universidade de São Paulo, Diogo Schelp holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. A few years after graduating, Diogo Schelp was awarded a two-month scholarship to join the International Journalism Program in Berlin, Germany. Diogo Schelp has also taken part in the Stanford Publishing Course for Professionals at Stanford University.
